True Lips Liner Review!

I have been addicted to buying beauty products from Amazon lately and I came across this 12 pack of lip liners! I decided to do a little research (and by that I mean watch YouTube videos) and decided that they looked pretty good and so I bought some. Here is my review and some small swatches of each colour.
Now first things first, these are dirt cheap! They literally cost me £2.01 from Amazon and the shipping was completely free which is always a nice thing. They did take a bit of time to arrive, around about 3 weeks, but considering they were coming from China I wasn't to bothered.
Once they arrived I realised that whoever had packed the box had made a mistake and included an extra liner, I had two of the shade 054, BONUS!
On the packaging it states that these liners are waterproof and are enriched with aloe vera. Now I can't test it they have aloe vera in them but I could test if they were waterproof and they are! They also have no colour transfer and last for ages on the lips when worn alone. Having said this I wouldn't recommend wearing them without some form of other lip product on top because they are pretty drying.
The lasting time, when worn alone, is reasonable I guess. I wore the shade 055 which is a bright pink/reddish colour and it lasted about 5 hours which I think is pretty good considering how inexpensive they are!
All in all I would 100% recommend these lip liners to literally anyone! Click this link if you want to pick yourself up these liners!       True Lips Liners

Hope you guys have enjoyed this post and let me know if you've used these liners and what you thought!

My Wreck This Journal!

Hey guys! I purchased my Wreck This Journal well before Christmas and never did anything with it but recently I have been loving just picking it up and browsing which page I want to do and then just starting it or planning it! I haven't done that many pages and honestly what I've done is pretty simple but I love all my pages:) This sort of thing is so handy when travelling on planes or car rides because you can get so distracted in it that the time just flies past!

A little information about the Wreck This Journal! I bought mine for £8.99 from Waterstones but you can pick it up from online stores like Amazon for a little cheaper. Keri Smith, the creator of Wreck This Journal, has also created a load of other books which, just like this one, are completely interactive.

Enough of the babble, these are the pages that I have started, I hope you like them:)

Having something like this book in my life has really helped me relieve a lot of emotions. I'm the kind of person to bottle everything up and having something that I can pick up and throw at a wall if I'm feeling angry is so handy! I would recommend this book to absolutely everyone!
Anyway, that's all for now! I'm thinking of making this into a monthly thing where I update you on what I've done, what do you think?

Homeware Haul!

Long time no post! I have been so busy these past 6 months and I really have left my blog bare. But I'm back and bringing you guys a homeware haul!
I've been decorating my bedroom for about 2 months now, buying little bits and bobs from Primark, Ikea and Homebase. I've been loving copper accessories lately so there is going to be a bit of a pattern in his haul! So, without further ado, lets get into it!

First up we have Primark. My favourite thing that I've bought has to be my Buddha. This little guy was £3 and has such a rustic dirty feel about it. Next up it got these indoor LED string lights that I have yet to hang up! These were £6 and look absolutely gorgeous when light. My last Primark purchase is a double sided cushion. On one side there is a hamsa hand/hand of Fatima that says "Be Here Now" and on the other just green and grey kind of mandala pattern.

I got some gorgeous Cacti from Ikea which are sat in this wooden heart shaped dish from The Range. The cacti were £4 for the 3 and I love them so much! Also from Ikea I got the Skurar flower pot to keep all of my makeup brushes in, so practical and so pretty. Both of these items are on top of my Alex 9 drawer which is currently empty as I've only just built it:)

From Homebase I got a really basic table lamp to put next to my bed. I think this was £10 and I'm not sure if I'm going to spray it copper or not yet. I also got a paint tester in Grenadine Green 2 which I'll be using to paint one wall

My final thing is a map of the world from Urban Outfitters which cost me £5. I have a really cute idea about this map but it'll have to wait until I've decorated.

That's it for this post! Hope you guys liked it and there shall be a post all about my bedroom once I've finished it!

September Favourites

I love reading about other peoples favourite products and activities to do throughout the month and I thought I would start doing favourites. I have a few different categories to get through so I'm just going to jump right in!

Makeup/Beauty:
I have a few different makeup bits and bobs that I've been loving lately, first being my Maybelline Brow-drama. I must have tried about 10 brow products in the last few months because I came to realise that I looked ridiculous having a full face of makeup on and barely visible brows. Anyway, the only one that has worked has been the Brow-drama and I absolutely love it! You just brush it through your natural brow and it makes them look fuller and darker without taking ages to do.
Next I have a another Maybelline product which is the Colour-drama in the shade Berry Much. This is your classic Autumn/Winter berry shade and really helps to bring a makeup look to life.
I've been really getting into contouring lately and the product I have been using to death is the Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt and Contour Kit in the shade Ultra Fair CO1. There is a done fall to this product which is the blush, it just does not show up! The contour shade and highlight however have so much colour pay off that you barely need to touch it with your brush and you have enough product. I recently bought a Smokey Eye Brush from Wilko which is incredible! I use it to apply the contour shade to the crease of my eye (the shade is a perfect transition shade).

Entertainment:
My favourite music artist recently are The Weeknd. I wasn't to fussed on him when he did the song for 50 Shades of Grey but slowly the song Earned It really grew on me. I was recently given his album 'Beauty Behind The Madness' for my birthday and I must have listened to it a good 50 times, I suddenly just fell in love with his music. My favourite songs are The Hills, Can't Feel My Face and Dark Times. Seriously, give this guy a listen and you will not regret it.
I've had to find a new TV series to obsess over lately and I started watching 90210 on Netflix and after 3 episodes I was hooked. I'm now on the 4th season and I just can't get enough of it. I love the characters, the plot stories and the general bubbly darkness of it all. I'm not going to give any spoilers but the 2nd series was so intense and aggravating that it made me like the show more. If you're into shows like Pretty Little Liars or Gossip Girl you would really enjoy this show.
I went on holiday at the beginning of the month and I read the book PS. I Love You. I had already seen the film but I always feel that the books are better and really wanted to give it a read, best decision I have ever made. This is genuinely one of the best books I have ever read and I think I ever will read. I'm not going to say to much because there is a lot that could be ruined if I said anything but the love story within this book is so heart breaking and emotional that I personally really felt for this woman and I felt really connected to her.

Random:
I got some new boots recently because it is obviously getting into the colder months now and when I'm out walking my dog or going shopping I want some really sturdy, comfortable and fashionable shoes on. I got the Platform Chelsea Boots for H&M which cost £29.99. SO WORTH IT! Of course they made my feet rub like heck when I first started breaking them in but I knew that was going to happen. I've always really liked these sort of chunky looking boot and I already have a pair of black platform boots so I decided to get these in Burgundy, sure it's a little harder to pair with colours but if you're like me and only wear black or grey they are perfect!
Another birthday present I got was a Babyliss Curling Wand Pro (£25 John Lewis). I have always loved curling my hair but it just took so long, since I've had my hair cut I have been constantly curling it. These curlers have 4 heat settings for different size curl but I usually use it on 180 degrees, this gives me the perfect curl.
My last favourite has to be candles. I love candles all year round and burn them whenever I have the opportunity too. I currently have my Yankee Candle in Witches Brew burning which to me smells like campfire and Halloween, it's perfect.

I hope you enjoy this post and I'm thinking about making it a monthly thing that I post.

September Birchbox

I recently became a subscriber to Birchbox and received my first box this month! I've been wanting to become a subscriber for quite a while now but I just never got round to doing until I noticed that it was the companies birthday this month! What a better time to start then during the birthday month!

FACTS! There's a few bits and bobs that you should know before subscribing but don't worry, they're all good. It's super affordable, £10 for the box and then £2.95 for postage! Its literally incredible considering that you get 5 deluxe samples of high end makeup and beauty products!

WHAT DID I GET? I got 5 sample sizes of incredible products and a 'beauty bonus' which I'm already using to death!

  1. Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Face Polish; £26. This stuff is incredible, honestly I've tried my fair share of face polishes and scrubs and none of them compare to this. I've used this 3 times so far and my skin is looking so much nicer. You massage the product into clean, damp skin and then wash it off with warm water, simple! I tend to massage it in, leave it for 5 - 10 minutes then rinse it off so that it has time to really sink in to my skin and make a difference.
  2. John Masters Organics Citrus Neroli Detangler; £16. Now if you're like me and have no idea what neroli is don't worry, I goggled it. Neroli is an essential oil distilled from the flowers of a Seville orange and is used in perfume. This product smells amazing, you really get the citrus smell coming through and the smells lingers in your hair for days. I have very thick, messy hair and I always struggle with knots and tangles and what with this and one of the other products my hair has been knot free for 4 days! I just use a tiny amount of the product and focus it mainly towards the lower have of my hair, then rinse it out after 5 minutes. I will definitely be purchasing a full size of this product so my hair can have an easy, untangled life from now on.
  3. Laqa & Co Cheeky Lip Pencil in Humble Brag; £17. This product is a Birchbox exclusive meaning if you want it you have to sunscribe! I've never had a product that can be used on lips and cheeks and to be honest with you I'm only just getting into blusher so I have yet to try it that way. BUT as a lip product it is definitely up there as one of my all time favourites. It's a much brighter pink than I would usually feel comfortable wearing but I feel it really compliments my skin tone.
  4. Beauty Protector Beauty Wash; £8. This product is also a Birchbox exclusive. This body wash literally smells like clean, like when I've used this I've just smelt and felt so clean. It lathers amazingly and makes your skin feel so soft after it's be washed off. In the little book that comes with your box it also says that you can put a dollop into your bath for extra little something but sadly I don't have a bath (cry cry) and haven't been able to try this.
  5. Benefit the POREfessional: license to blot; £15.50. This is the last sample product and the first product I have ever had from Benefit. To be honest, I'm not that impressed with it. It is supposed to mattify shine for up to 6 hours but I feel it's more like 1. I understand that this may just be down to my skin type but I was so disappointed! I will keep trying it out and hopefully find a way to use this that works with my skin type, I'll keep you updated on how that goes.
  6. BEAUTY BONUS! The Birchbrush; £5.99. This works in the same way as a tangle teaser does and I love it! I've used it everyday to keep my hair from tangling and I use it alongside the Detangler (product 2). This has been in my bag everyday so I can give my hair a little brush whilst out in the wind. I would definitely recommend to anyone to invest in a product like this because they do wonders to your hair!
I'm really happy with my 1st box and I'm so glad that I made the decision to subscribe. This is going to be a monthly sort of series whenever my box arrives and I hope you enjoy it and will enjoy the others too!

End of Summer Haul

Hey guys! I recently got my first job and I was so excited to finally be earning my own money that I spent most of it within the first week of having it... Honestly who doesn't do that with their first pay check!? Anyway, I had a few things in mind that I knew I definitely wanted to get (some of which I haven't got around to purchasing because my bank card isn't here yet). I also bought a few clothing items, a bag and a purse from Primark but I didn't feel they were very interesting because they're just basic things that everyone needs.
I've really been getting into lipsticks and liquid lipsticks lately and wanted to try different brands but not spend a fortune on them in case the colours didn't suit me, I didn't like the textures etc.
I successfully bought 5 different lip products whilst shopping this day and I have no regrets! I bought 3 MUA Lipsticks, 2 matte and 1 regular. These cost £1 each and they are amazing for the price! The matte shades are in the shades Fawn Fancy which is a brown nude and Peachy Keen which is a bright but subtle pink shade. The regular lipstick is in Shade 11 and I feel that Fawn Fancy is the matte version of this lipstick.
The next lip product I bought was a Collection Creme Puff liquid Lipstick in the shade Cotton Candy 1, I love this product! This cost me £2.99 and I had heard such amazing things about the Creme Puffs and it definitely lived up to the expectations I had.
The last lip product I bought on this particular day was the Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick in Pink Brandy. I literally only bought this because my lipstick collection was looking far to nude for my liking. I honestly didn't expect to like it as much as I do. This is quite a coral colour and completely different to anything I would normally buy. this cost £7.99.
I bought 2 mascaras, Avon Big & False Lash Volume Mascara (which I didn't purchase in a shop, my order arrived this day) and Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express Mascara. I love both of these mascaras and I know I'm really behind with Maybelline mascaras but for my first one, this is amazing. Both are very similar in the way they apply the product and they are also similar in price; Avon £5.99 (with freebies), Maybelline £7.99.
The last two things I bought this day were 2 face products, Rimmel Stay Matte in Peach Glow (£3.99) and Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt & Contour kit in fair C01 (£3.50).
I had never tried to contour before in my life until I bought this and I mean I need more practice at it but I think this product is amazing! I've tried a few Makeup Revolution products and they never fail to disappoint. The pigmentation is outstanding and it lasts on the face for so long! Once I have the hang of contouring I will never stop using this product, 10/10 would recommend.

Everyday Summer Makeup

Hey guys! I don't normally wear makeup in the summer because it's too hot and my face gets a lot oilier in the summer, but this year the weather has been terrible so I've been wearing makeup most days. I don't wear a lot of makeup and this is just the very basic products that I use on a day to day basis.

So here is an overview of the products I use;

Face:
Rimmel Stay Matte Primer in Clear 3 £5.99
Rimmel Match Perfect Foundation in 100 Ivory £6.99
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair 1 £4.19
*all prices from super drug*

Eyes:
Avon Super Shock Mascara in Black £8.50
Essence get Big Lashes in Black £2.30
*prices from the Avon UK website and Wilkinsons*

Lips:
Mac Viva Glam II £15.50
*price from Debenhams*

As you can see I tend to keep my makeup very simple because no one wants to be walking around with a face full of makeup in the heat! What I love about this simple daytime makeup is if I was to go out during the night it is really easy to make it look a bit more fancy. I would usually just add some eye shadow and maybe a brighter lip and I'm ready to go!

Thanks for reading guys, I hope you enjoyed this post! Has anyone got any makeup recommendations that I should try and review for you?
Bye Kearra <3
